Our Team
Ms. Kennedy is a native of northern California. She was born and raised in Linden, California in the central valley. Ms. Kennedy moved to Santa Barbara, California in 2009 to complete her B.A. degree at UC Santa Barbara. After working with exceptional learners for 4 years through the Keogel Autism Center and McEnroe Reading Clinic at UCSB, Kelsee decided to attain education specialist teaching credentials for exceptional learners with mild, moderate, and high levels of support need. She completed two credentials and her M.A. with an emphasis in Special Education, Disability, and Risk Studies between 2012-2014. In 2014 she entered into the Ph.D. program at UC Santa Barbara to study the areas of autism, "emotional disturbance", and Social Emotional Learning support and systems.. For the past 4 years, Kelsee has been working as a full-time inclusion specialist for the Santa Barbara County Office of Education (SBCEO) at Montecito Union School while simultaneously completing her doctoral program. Ms. Kennedy is very excited to be back in northern California and closer to both family and the natural beauty of the Tahoe area!
